ANNUAL DINNER MEETING

Annual Dinner will be Thursday February 2, 2017. Doors open at 6 p.m. Dinner served at 6:30 p.m. $20 each for members and $30 each for non-members. Guest speaker Scott Newland, Curator of Birds at Sedgwick County Zoo. Scott will talk about his recent trip to an international meeting in South Africa and how decisions are made regarding regulations for trade in animals, including endangered species.

BLUES AT THE ZOO

Lee Richardson Zoo has secured a nationally know Blues band for a concert at the zoo Tuesday May 16, 2017 at 7 p.m. The Concert will be held on the zoo's west green from approximately 7-9:30p.m. Admission to the event will be through the Southwest Gate of the zoo.

JUNGLE RUN CAR SHOW 3RD ANNUAL

The 3rd annual "Jungle Run" car show is scheduled for 8 a.m. July 8, 2017. The family friendly event draws auto enthusiasts and spectators of all ages to the West Green of Lee Richardson Zoo. Over 50 cars were entered each of the first two years, coming from Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma and Nebraska. Proceeds will go towards the new primate exhibit. This event will take place in the zoo from approximately 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Registration forms are available at the zoo or register online by clicking the ticket link above.

A WILD AFFAIR

The 12th annual "A Wild Affair is scheduled for 6 p.m. September 9, 2017. The event features Mike Benish with the band "Buckner Creek", live and silent auctions, chilled beer and wine served while local restaurants and caterers provide a delicious "taste of Southwest Kansas." Guest must be 21 to enter. Our largest fundraiser of the year, A Wild Affair 2017 is a benefit for new primate habitat at the zoo. The event will take place in and around the zoo's Wild Asia and Cat Canyon exhibit from approximately 6 - 10:30 p.m.

BOO! AT THE ZOO

The 23rd annual "Boo! At The Zoo" is sceduled for 4 p.m. October 21, 2017. the event offers local children a fun and safe trick-or-treat experience, while also supporting Zoo improvments. "Boo! At The Zoo" has become a family tradition in Garden City and draws an average of 5,000 people annually in a single night. This event will take place in and around the zoo from approximately 4 - 9 p.m.
